... you get when you look in that engine bay and realize everything in there was put there by you. And in some cases more than once. Wrenching on your own car is very rewarding. Building and maintaining Frankenmotors, even more so.
That’s my ABA 2.0 liter with forged crank & rods topped with a JH solid lifter head with CIS Lambda injection. Tuned well enough it started every damn day this winter on a single crank even when it was below Zero. For my birthday I’m giving it a new clutch.

Hell. Yeah.
I was pleased enough knowing I’d swapped plugs, oil, and two alternators but to know you’d done everything under the bonnet is pretty satisfying.
